It’s the age-old statement ‘I have nothing to wear….‘
Oh, how many times have those words come out of even my own mouth…. But help is at hand in the form of TOPSHOP.
That’s right, Topshop have come up with a genius little idea to raise money for charity and save us all from that little dilemma we all suffer from, when the Christmas party season starts. They’ve called in some fabulous pieces from a few of their fashion friends all for you to hire!
That’s right, just pop down to Oxford Circus Topshop, work out which dress you want, see if its free on the night you need, if it is hire it and bingo you get to dress your self up in party dress to make others sick with envy; from the likes of Dita Von Teese, Topshop favorites Kate Moss and Christopher Kane to Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and Alison Goldfrapp.
Now I wonder how booked up the Dita Von Teese dress will be?……..Topshop - Dress Me Up

Some may call it smutty but I do love Terry Richardson’s work. Fair enough some of it is really, really wrong - like the shot in Kibosh with the girls smoking out of the wrong place (or borderline porn) but it does something to you… in the instance of Kibosh – laughter; and THAT’s what makes his work wonderfully, it WILL make you feel something, have some form of reaction to it, even if it is to turn the page quickly!
Where as Nick Knight in 2004 brought a certain type of artistic beauty with his shots for Pirelli, Richardson has brought a natural playful but powerful sex appeal, there is no denying it.
Now naturally and sadly won’t be receiving a 2010 Pirelli calendar but I have these images…

A long time a go H&M was called Hennes…do people even still refer to it as Hennes or is that just me? Anyway next Spring 2010 H&M will release this little number and I’ll go nuts if I miss it (which easily can be done nowadays).

I love this shot of these two women swapping shoes. I have never switched shoes with a girlfriend, go ahead ask them, I am way to precious about my footwear to do it, besides I have bigger feet so unless I fancy hobbling this would never work with my size five feet girlfriends and 41s are way too big…
Anyway to switch is the way forward. Its been going on since the early nineties New York career woman came on the scene walking to work in her Nike’s and changing into her Manolo courts when she arrived at the office.
Of this I am an avid follower. I have though ditched the Nike’s for the great array of flats – ballet pumps, loafers and gym pumps all more suitable for my hike to work then a swift change-up to heels. Perfect!
You really just can’t get enough of how good these two always looked, even when just stood next to each other!

The 2010 edition Pirelli Calendar officially launched on Thursday in London, Pirelli Calendars which have been in existence since 1964 are always and I mean always – striking and I am sure as a model, if you can get that and a Victoria Secret’s gig then you know your body rocks!
