Today’s biggest fashion faux pas goes to Topshop. That’s right, fashionista friendly Topshop made its second faux pas, in my book, when today I tried to redeem my ever so kindly sent Loyalty Vouchers.

Topshop have a loyalty card scheme you can join after you have a booked appointment with one of their Style Advisors, you then get Gift cards twice a year, Seasonal trend previews, Topshop product updates & Insider news as well as Invitations to exclusive events and Birthday treats.

Now when they say you get two gift cards a year, they mean for every £50 you spend using the Style Advisor service, you will earn £2.50 to spend in Topshop.

So last week, I got the wonderful surprise of the loyalty vouchers. Seventy-five pounds worth of vouchers! It’s funny how quickly you forget about the perks till you are treated. It felt like all my Christmases had come at once.

Nothing beats a surprise!

Oh and I am not joking when I say ‘surprise’. I Popped down to Topshop and blissfully pick up a pair of the Boutique Silk leopard print shorts, a cream mini gold bead jumper and a black pair of skinny flare jeans took them over to the till only to find out that Topshop had voided all the vouchers but ‘forgot’ to contact all Loyalty card holders to tell them. NICE.

A case of the Marketing Department not talking to the Style Advisor department, *yawn* …not talking to the some other department; either way my lovely gift was sharply taken back! That my friends is just plain rude and if that is really how Topshop wants to repay those that they call ‘loyal’ than how long do they recon they’ll keep their loyal following?

Luckily one of the very sweet style advisors jumped in to assist and said that they’d hold the items for me, till the reprinted ones ‘with the correct codes’ arrived on Thursday, then would Topshop Express (my favourite of all the Topshop services) them to me. Bliss non?

If that goes according to plan – Topshop will be back in my good book, if not……..well…………
